Chameleons

Chameleon Class are Year 4 children who all have an enthusiastic approach to their learning.

Together we have created our Class Charter, in which we have looked at the importance of being honest, respectful, listening to each other, being helpful, looking after equipment and looking out for others.

In Chameleon class we have our own set of laptops and i-pads, which the children really enjoy using to support them in their learning of Maths, English and scratch when programming. The children are very enthusiastic readers and love exploring the new books in the book corner and library.

The children enjoy the creative homework menu and already seem excited by some of the activities they can choose from. The homework menu is linked to our learning journey and enables the children to have a choice of which activity suits their learning style best.

Each week we have two children who become the stars of the week, for their excellent work and effort. The stars of the week get extra privileges, (such as visiting the mobile library) within the class and thoroughly enjoy the responsibilities they are given.

The children can collect class points by working together to create a happy and supportive environment. The children are very excited to be working towards a class treat once we reach our target.

As a class we all thoroughly enjoy visiting the Secret Garden for our outdoor learning lessons/ forest school. Some of our session this year we will be looking at fire safety, building fires and animal habitats.
